Inset views: 'C Granitola from the NW'. and 'The coast of Sicily from the Graham Shoal'. (taken from FO 925 index). Scale: one inch to 3 sea miles. Compass roses. Surveyed by Commander G R Wilkinson, Captains P F Shortland and G S Nares, Royal Navy. Assisted by Staff Commanders T A Hull and V F Johnson; Navigating Lieutenants T H Tizard, J Millard and F J Gray, Royal Navy, of HMS Firefly, HMS Hydra and HMS Newport, 1864-1870. Topography partly based on a trigonometrical survey by the Italian Government. Drawn by R C Carrington, Hydrographic Office, under the direction of Captain R Hoskyn, Royal Navy, Superintendant of charts. Engraved by Davies, Bryer and Co. Published at the Admiralty 15 May 1872.
