Spain, Gibraltar: Admiralty chart 1448: 'Gibraltar Bay from the Spanish Survey of 1872. Gibraltar from a Survey by Captain P Aldrich and Officers of HMS Sylvia, 1885'. Manuscript additions show 'Works in the course of construction as reported by the General Officer Commanding and by the Senior Naval Officer at Gibraltar' [ie Captain Charles C Drury, Royal Navy]; these works lie between Carnero Point and the Queen of Spain's Chair. Other features similar to WO 78/5267 (1, 2). In Admiralty letter of 9 August 1898 (FO 72/2098).
