Spain: Cartagena: Chart 17A: 'Mar Mediterráneo. Costa Se. de España. Plano del puerto y arsenal de Cartagena con la Ensenada de Escombrera y las Algamecas .'.. Scale: 26 cm to 1 nautical mile. Compass rose. Compiled in 1875 and 1876 by the Hydrographic Commission under the direction of Frigate Captain D José Montojo y Salcedo. Engraved by E Fungairiño and S Bregantey. Published by the Hydrographic Department, Madrid, 1881. Enclosed in Sir R Morier's despatch number 15 of 26 January 1883 (see FO 72/1667). Manuscript additions illustrate the case of the Tangier, a British vessel, fired upon by the Spanish port authorities.
