Benin, Nigeria. Map copied from a French tracing showing the French Kingdom of Porto Novo as it was in 1863-1864, the limits of the Kingdom according to the Convention (Laffou de Laudebat and Glower [Glover]) in December 1864, and the actual area of Porto Novo; territories owned and protected by the British Government; the French Territory of Cotonou, and the village of Kéténou [Kétonou] occupied by the British. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 4 miles. French tracing lent privately by Mr Bolton, July 1884. Bolton was employed as 'a practical expert in Geography' at the West African Conference (See T 1/8176A/10475).
