Description

Belgium: one of 13 maps illustrating the ground to be covered by troops engaged in Belgian autumn military manoeuvres, August - September 1888. All transmitted in Lord Vivian's despatch number 148 of 25 August 1888 (see FO 10/522). Seven sheets, together showing area depicted in the centre of map at FO 925/3817 between Nylen Moll, Kelbergen and Beggynendyck. Reference table. Surveyed and levelled 1865, 1871-1872. Printed at the Dépôt de la guerre, Brussels, 1877-1878, 1880, 1886. Published at the Institut cartographique militaire, August 1888.
