Belgium: one of 13 maps illustrating the ground to be covered by troops engaged in Belgian autumn military manoeuvres, August - September 1888. All transmitted in Lord Vivian's despatch number 148 of 25 August 1888 (see FO 10/522). Five sheets (numbered 15-17, 24, 25), together showing the area depicted on the map at FO 925/3818 north and east of Malines. Reference table. Surveyed and levelled 1863-1865, 1868, 1871-1872. Compiled and engraved at the Dépôt de la guerre, Brussels, 1869, 1873, 1878, 1883. Revisions and additions 1881, 1883-1885, 1887. Engraved by J B de la Hoese, J Ongers, F Deraedemaeker, V Labargé and A Vanmolle. Published by the Institut cartographique militaire, August 1886 and August 1888.
