(2) 'Topographische Karte des Amtes Hunnesrück ... durch den Pr: Lieutenant Prizelius, der Königlichen Artillerie Brigade, in den Jahren 1833 und 1834'. Four sheets. (3) 'Topographische Karte der Landdrostei Osnabrück ... aufgenommen ... unter Leitung des Königlichen General-Stabes'. 64 sheets. (4) 'Topographische Karte der Herrschaft Plesse, der Gerichte Alten- und Neuen-Gleichen und des Königlich Hannoverschen Antheils des Eichsfeldes ... aufgenommen ... durch Officiere des königlichen Ingenieur-Corps und der Artillerie-Brigade, in den Jahren 1829 bis 1832'. Fourteen sheets. (5) 'Topographische Karte der Vogtei Auberg, Amt Diepholz, ... aufgenommen ... durch den Pr: Lieutenant Steineshoff der Königlichen Artillerie-Brigade, in den Jahren 1832 und 1833'. Four sheets. (6) 'Topographische Karte des Amtes Uchte, ... aufgenommen ... durch Officiere des Königlichen Ingenieur-Corps und der Artillerie-Brigade, in dem Jahre 1832'. Six sheets (sheet 1 missing). (7) 'Topographische Karte der Landdrostei Osnabrück ... unter Leitung des Königlichen General-Stabes'. Sheets 70-102 (several sheets missing). This may be a later continuation of (3) above. It shows the area between Liggen, Meppen, Freren and Bentheim. Each portfolio includes a title sheet with scale and reference table. Scale: 1:21,333. Each sheet about 35 cm square. (1) and (3) have an index map. The survey was based on trigonometrical measurements taken by [Carl Friedrich] Gauss who, according to Neue Deutsche Biographie, was in 1816 given the task of mapping the Kingdom of Hanover; the task took him 25 years to complete. Drawn by F Hartmann and C Tomforde. Some sheets are later revisions to 1854. Filed with manuscript booklet, Anleitung zur Ausführung der Metallographie, dated 1853 and signed by Hartmann.
