Description

Europe, south-east: 'Map of the Country between Odessa and Constantinople, embracing the Present Seat of War between the Russians and Turks'. Map also shows parts of Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece; towns, forts and roads. Reference table. Notes on passes over the Balkan mountains. Scale: 3.1 inches to 70 miles (scale bars also in versts and Turkish leagues). Inset: 'Schoumla' [Shumen]. Published by James Wyld, London 1854: date taken from FO 925 index.
