Showing the area between Silistria and the Black Sea. Compass indicator. Prepared by Captain Ardagh, English Staff Officer, from surveys drawn up by M M Clarke, Ardagh and Chermside, English Army; Schoubart and Wolkoff, Russian Army; Mehemet Ali Bey and Cherafeddine Effendi, Turkish Army; and Kuttscher, Romanian Army, under the direction of Commandant Lemoyne, French Commissioner. Lithographed by J G Kelly at the Intelligence Branch, Quarter Master General's Department, 1879. (Sgnd) Colonel von Scherff, Colonel Baron de Ripp, Lemoyne, Colonel Home, Colonel Orero, Colonel Bogolubow and Tahir Pacha.
