Map of the Balkans: 'Croquis des environs de Prepolac par John Ross of Bladensburg, Lieutenant, Coldstream Guards, Octobre 1878'. Shows rivers, watersheds, contours, place names. Drawn by Lieutenant John Ross of Bladensburg, Coldstream Guards. Subsequently lithographed in English by Harrison and Sons, St Martin's Lane. Transmitted in despatch number 22 of 30 November 1878 from Major C W Wilson, Royal Engineers. Subsequently lithographed by J G Kelly at the Intelligence Branch, Quarter Master General's Department, under the direction of Captain G E Grover, DA, Quarter Master General, 1879.
