Turkey: Gallipoli Peninsula: 'Carte de la Presqu'île de Gallipoli, Levée par les Officiers d' Etat-major de l'Armée d'Orient'. Map showing rivers, contours, place names, roads. Compass indicator. Coloured manuscript additions identify grid references to be used when referring to the map in official despatches. With the map is a tracing to be used for identifying grid references within these squares. Both enclosed in War Office letter of 10 December 1880 (see FO 83/619). Engraved by Erhard, 42 rue Bonaparte, Paris. Published at the Dépôt de la Guerre, 1854. Photozincographed at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1876.
