Turkey: Dardanelles: Admiralty chart 2429: 'Dardanelles'. Chart showing armed and extant defence works; firing and observation stations of minefields; armaments. Insets: 'The Narrows', surveyed by Captain T A B Spratt, Royal Navy, CB, 1855; 'Deredibi flat hill in line with Chardak Lighthouse S.W. leads N.W. of Zindji Bozan Bank'. Reference table; summary of armaments; tabulated complement of garrison. Compass roses. Information on armaments prepared in the Naval Intelligence Department, Admiralty, 1 November 1895. A note reads: 'This Chart is not to be used for navigating purposes.' Supersedes version of Admiralty chart 2429 at ADM 231/19.
