Europe, south-east, central and east: 'Carte génerale de la Turquie d'Europe en XV feuilles ...'. Map showing boundaries and chief towns of districts and provinces; villages, forts, isolated houses, churches, ruins, post stations, roads, in area between 34°50' and 48°N and between 16° and 29°30'E. An additional sheet extends the map to show Turkish peninsula west of 31°30'E. Reference table. Scale bars in French, German, British, Russian, Greek, Turkish, Romanian and international units. 15 sheets, each about 51 cm x 40 cm; extension sheet in two halves, each 23.5 cm x 41 cm. Prepared by Lapie, Senior Officer in the Royal Corps of Geographical Engineers, from material collected by Lieutenant General Count Guilleminot, Director General of the Dépôt de la Guerre, and Baron de Tromelin, Field Marshal, Inspector General of Infantry. Engraved by Flahaut. Topography engraved by Leroux. Published by C Picquet, Paris, 1822. Insets: the Dardanelles, Constantinople, Rhodes and Salonica. Longitudes taken from Paris.
