The Balkans: 'Commission Européenne pour la délimitation du Monténégro. 1880. Frontière entre le Lac de Scutari et la Mer'. European Commission for the delimitation of Montenegro, border between the Lake of Scutari and the Sea. Map shows boundary as proposed by the Powers and by the Porte. Reference table. Compass indicator. Signed by Captain M T Sale, Royal Engineers, British Commissioner, and Colonel Sollogoub, Russian Commissioner. Certified by Sale, 11 January 1881, to be a copy of the original map drawn in 1879 (see FO 925/3346), and enclosed in his despatch number 5 of 11 January 1881 (see FO 97/531). A note states that area between Padskale, Crwenij-Kamen and the River Bojana was based on information taken from the Austrian Admiralty chart of the Adriatic at 1:350,000 and was not verified on the spot. Subsequently zincographed at the Intelligence Department, War Office, February 1881.
