Greece, Albania: 'Carta d'Epiro compilata dietro gli studi falti negli anni 1869-75 dal Ro. Console de Gubernatis'. Map shows languages, boundaries, monasteries, forts, villages (by size), roads in north-western Greece and southern Albania. Reference tables. Scale: 4 inches to 40 km. Initialled by E Hertslet, 23 July 1880. Bound with printed notes by Gubernatis, 1879. Manuscript note attached to front of volume states, 'Major Ardagh informs me that the map sent herewith is the map by Gubernati referred to in his letter of the 8 inst. and not the map inclosed in Sir A. Paget's no. 332 of 13 inst....'. Both despatches are in FO 83/619.
