Cyprus: 'Cypri insulae nova descript 1573'. Map showing rivers, mountains, place names. No scale shown. Cardinal points. The FO 925 index states: 'brought home by Lieut. [Lieutenant[ Kitchener'. Kitchener was employed on the Cyprus Survey in 1878-1879. It is possible that this map was traced from a map of the same title made by Joannes van Doetichum and published in Additamentum Theatri Orbis Terrarum by Abraham Ortelius.
