Made during a reconnaissance in company with Lieutenant Colonel A Gordon, and Lieutenant Colonel J Desaint, French General Staff. By Captain T Spratt, Royal Navy, CB, 24 July 1854. Lithographed by Malby and Sons. Published at the Hydrographic Office, Admiralty, 1 March 1856. Beneath the chart is a 'Section through the Kara Sú Lakes between the Danube and the Black Sea by Herr von Vincke in 1830'. For the original manuscript survey, see MPH 1/1133/3.
