Chart also shows the Sea of Azov, Sea of Marmora and the Crimea, with land area shaded, lights coloured, darker hill-shading. Key to fathom lines and abbreviations. Compass indicators. Compass variation 1871. View of Bosporus drawn by Commander Brock. Inset printed the right way up. Engraved by J and C Walker. Published at the Hydrographic Office, Admiralty, 20 September 1853. Additions to 1857. Corrections to June 1872. Minor corrections 1872-1876.
