Europe, south-east: 'Türkei und Griechenland'. Plate 25 of Kiepert's Neuer Handatlas. Map shows vilayets. Inset: 'Constantinopel und der Bosporus'. Map corrected 1876. Overprints dated 1877. Published by Dietrich Reimer, Berlin. Illustrating memorandum entitled 'Quelques mots sur les cartes de l'Orient', and correspondence between Kiepert and Professor C Paparrigopoulo at Berlin about the ethnographic delimitations of Turkey in Europe; these papers were enclosed in Hugh Wyndham's despatch number 176 of 23 March 1878 (FO 32/496). A duplicate of the despatch is enclosed with the map.
