The Balkans: 'Itinéraire de Constantinople à Nisch. Par Adrianople, Philippopoli, Bazardjik, Sofia, Pirot'. Map showing villages burnt during the insurrection, and those relieved and reconstructed by James Long in 1876-1877. Includes longitudinal section of the area. Reference table. Compass indicator. For Long's account of his aims, see his letter of 11 October 1876 (FO 78/2533).
