Europe, south-east: 'General Karte von der Europäischen Turkei nach allen vorhandenen Originalkarten und itinerarischen Hülfsmitteln bearbeitet und gezeichnet von Heinrich Kiepert'. Map of Turkey in Europe. Insets, at various scales, of Montenegro, the southern Dardanelles, and Constantinople and the Bosporus. Edited and drawn by Heinrich Kiepert. Terrain engraved by W Kratz, Schleich and Sporer. Writing engraved by W and C Kratz, Weimar. Published by Dietrich Reimer, Berlin, 1870. Railways added 1875. Manuscript additions show the boundaries of Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro according to the Treaty of San Stefano. Railways corrected to 1876. FO 925/3270 is another versionpurporting to show the same boundaries, but the additions are not identical on both maps. The latter was enclosed in Henry Layard's despatch number 338 of 12 March 1878: see FO 78/2781.
