Map of 'Turkey in Asia (Asia Minor) and Transcaucasia by Keith Johnston, F.R.S.E. [Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh]'. The map shows highlands, rivers, towns, and boundaries in Turkey, Cyprus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Mesopotamia, the Levant and the Nile Delta. The map also shows a key to battle sites and railways. Scale bars are in British statute, geographical and Italian and Turkish miles, in Turkish aghájs, and in nautical miles. Longitude taken from Paris. Engraved and printed by W and A K Johnston, Edinburgh. [Published by] William Blackwood and Son, Edinburgh and London. ?1862, Johnston drew maps for A General Atlas of Modern Geography, which was published in that year. Keith Johnston, General Atlas, plate 29. The significance of the manuscript additions has not been established.
