Area in Iskenderún, Turkey. 'Sketch of Iskanderún': map shows partially cultivated, cultivated, and marsh land. Also shows the ruins of ancient Andretta, British factory, and the ancient foundations of St George. It includes the roads and canal cut by Ibridum Pacha, 1832. Inset: 'View of Iskanderún from the Anchorage', showing Custom House plus the American, Austrian, British, Dutch and French consulates. Compass indicator. Lithographed at the Intelligence Branch, Quartermaster-General's Department, under the direction of Captain G E Grover, Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, 1878.
