'New Brunswick, Quebec, Maine'. Thirty quarto volumes of field notes of the British Boundary Commission appointed under the Treaty of Washington, 1842. Surveys of the area between the River St Croix and Lake St Francis made under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel I B Bucknall Estcourt the British commissioner, by J Wilkinson, B McGuckin, T Forbes, W Broughton, G Campbell, J Garvey, T Dumble and others from June 1843 to October 1845. Each volume covers a section of the boundary and consists of manuscript maps and views of the surrounding country, with sites of trigonometrical stations, boundary monuments and contours. Accompanying tables give distances, heights, bearings. Volume I contains a list of sections of the boundary covered by each volume. Each volume signed by surveyors.
