'New Brunswick, Maine'. Appendix volume of tables to the Report of the United States and the British (concerning British possessions in North America) Boundary Commission under Treaty of Washington, 1842, defining the eastern boundary. Showing boundaries from the source of the River St Croix to the River St Lawrence. Two pages of manuscript plans and sections of the large and small monuments erected to mark the boundary, drawn by J Wilkinson to an eighth scale. ff 2-133 are composed of printed sheets on which the British Commission entered in manuscript its measurements of distances, bearings, positions of monuments and general remarks, in tabular form. Each folio signed by I B Bucknall Estcourt, the British Commissioner, and the volume was sent to the Foreign Office in his dispatch of 31 January 1848. For particulars see 38358 (F15494/1908)
