Area now in Canada and USA: Ontario, Minnesota, Michigan. Volume of maps of the area between Mud Lake, St Joseph’s Island, Lake Huron, and the north-west angle of Lake of the Woods, surveyed under Articles 6 and 7 of the Treaty of Ghent, 1814, between Great Britain and the United States. Twenty-seven maps to a scale of 1 inch to 400 yards; eight to a smaller scale, showing the extent of the survey. The boundary line is represented by a double blue and pink line. Lines of triangulation shown. North is shown by compass stars, compass indicators and Prince of Wales feathers. With a handwritten list of contents. By Arthur Barclay and Peter B Porter, Boundary Commissioners 1818-1819. Each map is signed by the Commissioners and by David Thompson, Surveyor, and certified correct by S Thompson, Assistant Surveyor and Draftsman. Filed 23 October 1826 by the secretary to the Board of Commissioners. Incomplete copy. For particulars see paper 38358 (F 15494/1908).
