Area now in Canada: Gulf of St Lawrence. Admiralty chart 2516: 'North America East Coast. Gulf of St. Lawrence; Newfoundland'. Scale: 1 inch to 17 sea miles. Compass indicators. From the surveys of Cook, Lane and Bullock. The remainder by Captain Bayfield, Royal Navy. Assisted by Commander Orlebar, Lieutenant Hancock and Mr Forves. Engraved by J and C Walker. Published 16 March 1857. French fishing area round the coast of Newfoundland edged with blue in manuscript.
