Area now in Canada: Ontario, Manitoba. 'Plan Showing the Proposed Route from Lake Superior to Red River Settlement'. Scale: 1 inch to 20 miles. Compiled from the Maps of Messrs Dawson and Napier. Inset plan of country between the Red River Settlement and Lake of the Woods, reduced from the survey with Dawson's Report of 15 March 1858. At the foot of the map is a geological 'Profile of Canoe Route as handed in by Professor Hind'. Surveyor: T Devine, Branch West, Crown Lands Department, Toronto, 23 May 1858.
