Two maps of area now in Canada: Ontario. One of two sheets of map entitled 'Sketch of Road from Prince Arthur's Landing, Thunder Bay, Lake Superior to Lake Shebandowan as traversed by the Red River Expeditionary Force'. Map 1. Shows contours, marshland, shanties, camps of militiamen employed on the road. Scale: 4 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicators. Surveyed by Captain G L Huyshe, Rifle Brigade, 20 July 1870. Prepared at the War Office Topographical Depôt, Director Captain C W Wilson, Royal Engineers. To illustrate correspondence relative to the expedition to the Red River settlement, presented to the Houses of Parliament in 1871.
