Area now in Canada: British Columbia: Fraser River. 'Sketch of Fraser's River, from Fort Hope to the Forks of Thompson's River showing the Auriferous Districts'. Scale: 1 inch to about 2.5 miles. Compass indicator. Notes on access to the fork and to the Nigowemen River (gold deposits). Referred to in C F James Douglas's letter of 18 February 1858 from Victoria. Received at the Foreign Office, 26 April 1858.
