Surinam: map. 'Kaart van Suriname Survey'. Shows towns, roads, field boundaries with names, sandbanks and shallows, topographical notes on the map. Scale: 1 inch to about 3 miles. Key to symbols used. From surveys made 1860-1879 by J F A Cateau van Rosevelt and Captain J F A E van Lansberge. Manuscript additions show cultivation, land grants with proprietors' names. In ten sheets, Insets: (1) Plan of Paramaribo. Scale: 1 inch to about 6 miles. Numbered key to buildings. Compass indicator. (2) Plan of New Rotterdam and the recently founded Nickerie. Scale: 3 inches to about 1 mile.
