Reduced copy of 'Map A Map of that portion of....New Brunswick and Lower Canada...disputed by the Government of the United States with parts of the Adjacent Country....directed to be made 1839'. Scale: 1 inch to about 30 miles. Engraved by James Wyld, Charing Cross East, London. Map A appended to the Report of the British Commissioners appointed in 1839 to survey and explore the territory in dispute..., under the 2nd Article of the Treaty of 1783. Foreign Office, April 1840. With manuscript additions showing British and American claims, and the boundary decided by the Treaty of Washington, 1842.
