Nicaragua: San Juan River. 'Plan of the River San-Juan Nicaragua'. Scale: 1 inch to 3 miles. Surveyed by Captain Granville Gower Loch, CB and the 1st Company of the 38th Regiment in the boats of HMS Alarm and Vixen, February 1848. Remarks on banks, depth and current of the river, topography and vegetation. Positions of the boats marked in red ink. Inset general plan of Lake Nicaragua and the San Juan (1 inch to about 18 miles).
