Area now in Guyana. 'Map of British Guiana compiled from the surveys executed under Her Majesty's Commission from 1841 to 1844 and under the direction of The Royal Geographical Society from 1835 to 1839 showing sea, rivers, boundaries coloured and showing an alternative route for part of the western frontier, with the manuscript explanation indicationg the boundary suggested by Brazilian Minister and declined in a private note of 28 Dec 1898 from Mr. Villiers'. Scale given as 1 inch to about 7 miles, should be 1 inch to about 10 miles. By Sir Robert H Schomburgk, KRE, PhD. Revised and corrected by Cathcart Chalmers Esq, Crown Surveyor of the Colony and James Gay Sawkins Esq, Director of the Geological Survey of the West Indies and British Guiana, with additions by Charles B Brown, Esq. Engraved under the superintendence of William Walker Esq, 1875.
