Nicaragua. 'Map of the Mosquito Reservation, Nicaragua, Central America showing the position on certain rivers of the meridian of 84° 15' Longitude West from Greenwich as defined by the Commissioners appointed by His Excellency Robert Henry Clarence Chief of the Mosquito Indians and the Government for the Mosquito Reservation'. Also shows settlements, mines, mahogany works, sawmills. Scale: 3 inches to about 7 miles. Compass roses. Surveyed by Arthur Newstead, Mosquito Government Surveyor. Signed by the Chief and the Commissioners, 29 September 1892, and sent with Clarence's letter of 23 November 1892. This map was subsequently lithographed by the Intelligence Division, War Office, as IDWO 960.
