Admiralty Chart 299: 'Harbours and Anchorages on the West Coast of Newfoundland...Published at the Admiralty, March 29th. 1866 under the Superintendence of Captain G H Richards, Royal Navy Hydrographer...' Corrected to 1889. Three charts on one sheet: (1) St. Margaret Bay and New Férolle Cove surveyed by Captain Jehenne, assisted by Naval Cadet Mr C E Guépratte, 1847, and Captain G Cloué, 1861, both of the French Navy; scale: 1 inch to about 2/3 mile. (2) 'St. John Bay, Castors Harbour Surveyed by Captain G. Cloué assisted by Lieutenants Jehenne and Miot, and Mr. Lecorre and Bayot, Midshipmen, of the French Imperial Navy 1859-61'; scale: 1 inch to about 2/3 mile. (3) 'Old Férolle Harbour and Brig Bay Surveyed by Lieutenant G Cloué, of the French Imperial Navy 1852.'; scale: 1 inch to about ¼ mile. Four views of the entrance to Castors Harbour.
