Newfoundland (now part of Canada). Admiralty Chart 280: 'Notre Dame Bay ...'. Shows the coastline from Hardy Harbour to South Toulinguet Island. Scale: 1 inch to about 2 miles. Compass roses. Surveyed by Staff Commander W F Maxwell, Royal Navy, assisted by Staff Commanders J E Coghlan and J G Boulton, Navigating Lieutenants W N Goalen, J W Dixon and F Haslewood, all Royal Navy, 1877-1881. Insets: (1) Approaches to Nipper's Harbour. Scale of inset (1): 1 inch to 3 and 1/3 cables. (2) 'Paquet Harbour. From a French Government Survey in 1857'. Scale of inset (2): 1 inch to 3 and 1/3 cables. (3) 'La Scie Harbour by Lieutenant Frederick Byllock Royal Navy 1825'. Scale of inset (3): 1 inch to 3 and 1/3 cables. (4) 'Salt Water Pond Bay By Staff Commander W F Maxwell, Royal Navy 1881'. Scale of inset (4): 1 inch to 5 cables. Engraved by Davies and Company. Published at the Admiralty 28 July 1881 under the Superintendence of Captain Sir Frederick J Evans, Royal Navy, KCB, FRS, Hydrographer. Corrected to 1884.
