Two charts on one sheet: general survey at 3 inches to 1 sea mile; chart of Port aux Basques, site of an Anglo-American telegraph station, showing leading marks, at 1:6109. Compass roses. Surveyed by Commander J Orlebar assisted by Commander Hancock, Messrs De Brisay, Carey and Clifton, all Royal Navy 1860. Port Basque from a Survey by Staff Commander W F Maxwell, Royal Navy 1879. Engraved by Davies and Co. Published at the Admiralty, 12 May 1880, under the superintendence of Captain Sir Frederick J Evans, Royal Navy, KCB, FRS, Hydrographer.
