Newfoundland (now part of Canada): Placentia Bay. Admiralty Chart 290: 'South Coast of Newfoundland. Placentia to Burin Harbour '. Scale of chart: 1 inch to about 4 miles. Compass roses. Views of Cape Race and Cape St. Mary lighthouse engraved by G S Powell. Inset of Little Southern and La Manche Harbours. Surveyed by Staff Commander Maxwell, Royal Navy, 1875. Scale of inset: 2 inches to about 1 mile. Engraved by Edward Weller. From the Surveys of Captain Orlebar, Royal Navy, in 1860-1863 and of Navigating Lieutenant W F Maxwell, Royal Navy 1874-1878.. Published at the Admiralty, 21 February 1876 under the Superintendence of Captain Sir Frederick J Evans, Royal Navy, KCB, FRS, Hydrographer. Corrected to 1889.
