North America. Sheet of four extracts from maps made before the treaty of 1783 between the United States and Area now in Canada, lithographed to illustrate disputed frontiers in 1842. (1) Map of North America according to the Treaty of Paris of 1763 by Emanuel Bowen. (2) Sayer and Bennett's map of 1776 showing Quebec according to the royal proclamation of 1763. (3) Maine and Nova Scotia from Governor Pownall's map of 1776. (4) Maine and Nova Scotia from the American Military Atlas, 1776. Various scales. Boundaries painted in red. John Childs, Lithographer, 92 Nassau Street, New York.
