Description

'Map to accompany and illustrate the Report of Her Majesty's Commissioners for the settlement of the Boundary Line in dispute between Canada and New Brunswick'. Reference table to boundary claims and recommendation. Scale: 1 inch to 24 miles. Major William Robinson, Royal Engineers, Captain G W M Henderson, Royal Engineers, and J W Johnston, Commissioners, 20 July 1848. J Arrowsmith, lithographer. The initials 'G W M' are presumably the lithographer's reading of 'E Y W', undated. Green and red lines added in manuscript show disputed territory round the source of the St John River. J Childs, lithographer, New York.
