Atlas of 30 maps of South America. 'Géographie des parties centrales de l'Amerique du Sud, et particulierement de l'Equateur au Tropique du Capricorne'. Introduction, with tables of latitude, longitude; a list of maps and notes about them. List of maps. Some of the maps have on them a list of sources for the map.Boundaries, coastlines, some rivers and roads coloured. Scale varies from 1 inch to 14 kilometres, to 1 inch to about 70 kilometres. From documents of the French expedition, 1843-1847, from Rio de Janeiro to Lima and from Lima to Para, led by Francis de Castelnau. Digest made by him, on his own observations and those of Eugène d'Osery. Published Paris, Chez P Bertrand, Libraire-Editeur, 22 Rue de L'Arbre-Sec, 1854. Some maps engraved by L Boussard and F Delamare, others only by L Boussard. Printed 'chez Lemercier a Paris.'
