United States of America: Ohio, Michigan. Three maps made during a survey to determine the position of the boundary between Ohio and Michigan, carried out under the direction of Captain A Talcott of the US Engineers, by Lieutenants W Hood, W Smith and R E Lee. The maps contain trigonometrical calculations of the positions of various features and I and III have explanatory reference tables. Scale: 1 inch to 1000 feet. Compass indicators. Lieutenants W Hood and J R Irwin, draughtsmen. Each map signed by Talcott. III Map of the South bend of Lake Erie showing the position from which the southernmost point of the US-Canada boundary was determined. Inset map of Point Péle, Upper Canada, from which the position of the boundary was also calculated.
