'Sketch of part of the River St. John New Brunswick, extending from the Madawaska River upwards, as far as inhabited in October 1839, showing the several Settlements in detail. John Wilkinson, Surveyor, Fredericton 14 April 1840'. Shows buildings, roads. Note on surveying methods, symbols used. Compass indicator. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. Course of the river marked in miles. Surveyed on behalf of Lieutenant Colonel Mudge and G W Featherstonhaugh, British boundary commissioners. 'Drawn in Transfer Lithography by L J Hebert and printed at the Lithographic Establishment Quarter Master General's Office Horse Guards August 1840'.
