Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pensilvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island: of Aquanishuonigy the Country of the Confederate Indians of the Lakes Erie, Gutano and Champlain and of Part of New-France where is also shown the ancient and present seats of the Indian Nations. By Lewis Evans 1755'. Title in rococo cartouche. Shows the area south of the St Lawrence River. Inset sketch map of the rest of Ohio. Dedicated by Evans to the Honourable Thomas Pownall, whose coat of arms is displayed. Reference table to Indian lands, distance table, notes on country, tribes. Scale: 1 inch to about 36 miles. Compass rose. Engraved by James Turner. Published according to Act of Parliament, 23 June 1755, and sold by R Dodsley, Pall Mall and by the author in Philadelphia.
