Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana. 'Sketch map of Guyana' showing Spanish, Dutch, British and French possessions up to 1814 when the Dutch colonies Demerara, Essequibo and Berbice were ceded to England, and illustrating the boundary dispute between Venezuela and Great Britain. Boundary claims, Capuchin missions and settlements in the disputed area are shown. Scale: 1 inch to 34 miles. Key to symbols used. By C McLoughlin and Daniel C Baxter. Compiled at the Foreign Office 1888, by J H Reddan, H M Vice Consul, and drawn at the Ordnance Survey Office, Dublin, 11 January 1889.
