United States of America: California. A certified copy made 29 October 1864 of map entitled 'Plat of the Rancho de los Capitancillos finally confirmed to Charles Fossatt. Surveyed under instructions from the U S Surveyor General by John C Hayes Dep. Sur. November 1860'. The area of the ranch, lot 38, is marked with buildings, mine shafts, hills shown. Circular cartouche. Table showing the direction and length of each section of the boundary. Scale: 1 inch to 20 chains. Compass indicator. Approved by the Surveyor General of California and the District Judge.
