Description (What the record is about)

United States of America: Louisiana. Plan of allocation of land lots in townships 4 and 5 North Range 2 West, adjacent to the Red River. This accords with British and American claims of 1871-1872. Each plot bears acreage, owner's name and dates and details of purchase. Certified accurate by William McCulloch, Surveyor General's Office, Donaldsonville, 18 January 1858. A statement signed by Thomas A Hendricks, December 1857, certifies that the tracts were recorded at the General Land Office, Opelousas by Mr H Howard.
