Guyana. Reduced copy of 'Map of British Guiana constructed from the Surveys and Routes of Captn. Schomburgk, and other documents in the possession of the Colonial Department. Drawn at the Military Depôt Quarter Master Generals Office Horse Guards by L. J. Hebert April 1842.' Scale: 1 inch to 24 miles. Shows the boundary between British Guiana and Venezuela which the British Government was prepared to accept. It accompanied the draft sent by Lord Granville to M de Rojas, Venezuelan Minister for Foreign Affairs, on 15 September 1881. Note signed by Edward Hertslet, Foreign Office Librarian: 'Words added by Mr Harris of the C O June 81'.
