Chile, Argentina. Southern part of a map of South America, to illustrate boundary claims and disputes as well as the question of the neutralization of the Straits of Magellan. Scale: 1 inch to 50 miles. Manuscript additions show the positions of proposed Chilean forts, with notes on their possible effects on trade through the Straits of Magellan. An enclosure in Pakenham's (Chargé d'Affaires, Santiago) letter to the Foreign Office of 3 April 1877.
